A stunning comeback with the ball has led Australia to an unlikely 24-run win over India in Mohali overnight.

Having set the home team a skinny target of 251 on a good pitch at the PCA Stadium, Australia's hopes were further weakened by a dashing start from Virender Sehwag (30 from 19 balls) and some ominously good form from Sachin Tendulkar, which took India to 2-93 in the 19th over.

But the visitors, led by Doug Bollinger's superb bowling and captain Ricky Ponting's lethal fielding, took the next eight wickets for 133 runs to knock over the home side in the 46th over for 226.
