India is probably the most-hyped cricket team in the world. Barring a few exceptions, the team consists of mediocre model-cum-actors-cum-players who run their luck not on their cricketing abilities but on media backing of the IPL or BCCI.
Above is not our statement but statement of a pakistani , published in dawn daily.
Before we start on reacting like typical Indian fan , we must acknowledge that he is right in his observation.
While it is true that India has won 6 continuous one day series and comes in top 3 teams , consistency is biggest problem with India and so is its ability to loose in all important tournaments.
Just imagine you are ce0 or general manager of a company who pays you something like 10 crore a year. How would you be treated if you fail to perform?. You would be sacked right?. But if you are cricketer , its not the rule. Probably you would be given 20 crores from next year!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes in a game , one may win and loose. No big deal but consistency should be there. Australia was undisputed no 1 for number of years because it won 7/10 matches and best of it was they won all major tournaments.
Over hyped seems right word for our team.
